2016/17 Annual Compliance Training

New Mexico State University is committed to providing a safe and harassment free environment for its students, employees and visitors, and equal employment opportunities in all areas of occupation. A key component in achieving these commitments is ensuring that employees are trained on their responsibilities related to applicable State and Federal codes, laws, and regulations.

2016/17 compliance training enrollments have now ended

In preparation for the 2017/18 Compliance year which begins Oct 15, 2017, new employees with a start date after 8/15/17 will not be enrolled in the 2016/17 Compliance Training Certifications.  Employees enrolled prior to 8/16/17 are still required to complete the 2016/17 Compliance Training Certification by their target date.

Training Status

As of 8/16/17…

  • 6,317 employees have completed the 2016/17 Annual Compliance Certification
  • 120 employees are currently enrolled
  • 64 employees are overdue

In accordance with NMSU Policy 3.19.25, NMSU employees, regardless of hours worked or hiring type, must complete the annual compliance training certification as a condition of employment.

Online Training Modules

The 2016/17 Compliance Training year runs from October 15, 2016 to August 15, 2017 and includes the following modules.

Employees (including staff, faculty, temporary, & graduate assistants)

  • Computer & Data Security
  • Employee Safety & Loss Control
  • Discrimination and a Harassment Free Environment
  • Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Title IX: NMSU, A Caring Community
  • Conflict of Interest

Student Employees (regular and work-study)

  • Compliance Overview
  • Computer & Data Security
  • Discrimination and a Harassment Free Environment
  • Employee Safety & Loss Control: Emergency Preparedness
  • Title IX: NMSU, A Caring Community
