Converting Materials for the Web

This half-day session will prepare participants to develop Web-based materials that include components generated from materials once handed out to students in class.

The session highlights three of the major software applications an instructor has for converting documents to HTML. Participants will learn how to convert MS Word files, convert MS PowerPoint files, and create PDF files using Adobe Acrobat. Participants receive instruction geared toward which option to choose, tips for effective use of the tools, and plenty of practice using typical class materials.

Please note: The workshop is intended to help participants migrate their materials from a traditional classroom setting into Blackboard. This workshop is not intended for those interested in creating Web pages for their department or personal portfolio.
