Hiring Procedures I
Time: 4.0 hours
Target: Staff
This 4 hour course, taught by NMSU Center for Learning & Professional Development, will familiarize participants with the policies, procedures, and documentation requirements for completing the hiring process and meet federal and local regulations. The main focus of the course is on regular (exempt, non-exempt, and faculty) positions.
The use of NMSU's electronic hiring system, Ehire, is covered through demonstration with hands-on practice and exercise to help build critical skills. If Banner is not used in the performance of their daily duties, participants should review the Banner Navigation Tutorial or Banner Navigation User Manual prior to training to receive the full benefit of the training.
Minimum class size is five (5) participants. Registered participants will be notified prior to class date if minimum is not met and class is to be cancelled.
Those participants who also hire for pooled positions (temporary, supplemental, students, graduate assistants, and work-study) should also attend Hiring Procedures II.
