Service Awards

Presented to New Mexico State University faculty and staff (regular, full-time or part-time) who meet the eligibility criteria of the program as defined in the NMSU Administrative Rules and Procedures (ARP) 9.81 Employee Recognition. Service Awards are given for recognition and appreciation of service to the university.

Recognized anniversary years are: five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, and thirty-five.

With the understanding that the colleges, divisions, and departments have more direct contact with employees in their areas and are best equipped to find special ways to recognize employees for their service, units are encouraged to recognize the outstanding accomplishments and service of their staff in ways that compliment university wide ceremonies such as Founder’s Day.  In so doing, we share an obligation to adhere to ARP 9.81 Part 1: Rule Statement which sets guidelines for awards programs and outlines established University awards that will continue to be conducted at university-wide events.

Human Resources and the Center for Learning & Professional Development support NMSU entities that conduct their own service awards ceremonies by notifying departments of those employees that have reached service award anniversaries and coordinating the service award gifts.

Thank you for your ongoing service to New Mexico State University!
