How do I record external training my employees attended?

An employee who has attended training outside of NMSU or that is not otherwise recorded in our system may have their training record updated to record the training in Training Central.  The employee’s manager (or designee) must verify training was completed successfully and submit the request to Training Central.  Employees are not authorized to submit updates to their own training records. Certificates of completion or other proof of successful completion must be maintained by the department in accordance with NMSU Record Retention policies & procedures.

Training records may be updated for an individual or a group of employees attending the same training event by completing the Request to Update Training Records form.  Managers will need to obtain course details including duration, start/end dates, course title, provider, and description/objectives from the employee or the training provider.

The submitter will be notified once the training records have been updated.  This is a manual entry by Training Central Administrators so please allow up to 3 business days from submission for completion.
