How Do I Search the Knowledge Center?

Use the Knowledge Center to search for resources in the Knowledge Base (which stores content such as user manuals, reference documents, and helpful links) and the Catalog (which lists offerings and courses). You do not have to be signed up for any offerings to search the Knowledge Center.

To perform a simple search in the Knowledge Center:

  1. Log in to NMSU Training Central - https://trainingcentral.nmsu.edu.
  2. Click My Training tab.
  3. Click Knowledge Center link in the left menu.
  4. The Search page appears.
  5. Select the relevant resources type from the drop-down list.
  6. To search across all resource types, select All Resources.
  7. Enter a keyword, resource ID, or a description, in the empty field to select a specific resource for selected resource type or leave the field empty to select all resources for a selected resource type.
  8. Select a time period from the Starting drop-down list only if you are searching for instructor-led for virtual courses.
  9. Select a location option from the Locations drop-down list only if you are searching for resources that are based in a specific location, such as instructor-led courses.
  10. Click the Search button.
  11. NMSU Training Central displays the search results.

You can browse the Knowledge Center by browsing the resources of the Catalog and Knowledge Base. To browse the Catalog (which lists offerings and courses) or the Knowledge Base (which stores content such as user manuals, reference documents, and helpful links):

  • Go to the Home tab.
  • Click My Training tab.
  • Click Knowledge Center.
  • Click Browse the Catalog to see categories for offerings and courses or click Browse the Knowledge Base to see categories for content such as user manuals, reference documents, and helpful links.
  • Click a category to view offerings or information.
