Leadership & Management Development

The Leadership & Management program is comprised of leadership & management essentials for both new and experienced supervisors and managers. The curriculum, delivered through interactive workshops, structured training sessions, and online microlearning, is designed to build competencies in new supervisors and strengthen competencies in experienced supervisors and managers.

Certificate Programs

Aggie Leadership Training Academy (ALTA)

The Aggie Leadership Training Academy (ALTA) program is a leadership program.  Because an individual’s capacity for leadership is not defined by their job title, ALTA is open to all NMSU faculty and staff.  The program is managed by the Center for Learning & Professional Development (CLPD).

Manager Certification Program (MCP)

The Manager Certification Program is a comprehensive program that provides supervisors and managers with a core set of knowledge, skills, and competencies required to successfully manage personnel at New Mexico State University. Participants meet monthly through a full calendar year.  It examines key management competencies and trains critical knowledge and skills that support core duties and tasks performed by NMSU management personnel.
