Nathan Jackson, Intermediate Training Specialist

Nathan Jackson is a New Mexico native with a strong passion for education. He has lived in all four corners of the US but started his career in Louisiana. There, he taught a Basic Skills Education Program class to individuals in the Army. This class was designed for those wanting to increase their ASVAB scores to qualify for new jobs or higher classifications within the Army. After over two years and beyond 500 students taught, he moved to Virginia where he worked as a Trainer for Kings Dominion, a theme park in the area. Nathan recently found his way back to New Mexico and settled into his role as a Training Specialist with the Center for Learning and Professional Development at NMSU.

Nathan grew up in Silver City, where he obtained his Bachelors in English from Western New Mexico University. While living in various states, he pursued two Masters of Arts from Southern New Hampshire University, one in English and the other in Creative Writing. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, gaming, and running.
